Lamborghini is back in the SUV segment with a bang, and has revealed the all-new high performance Urus. The Italian performance SUV has been in the making for a long time now and is only the second SUV in the company's history, in a long legacy of super cars. The Lamborghini Urus though distinguishes itself as a slightly practical car that is less demanding in its seating, can seat five and can be taken on broken tarmac as well without much thinking.
Just over a year ago, Chinese automotive conglomerate Geely's launched a new automotive startup - Lync&Co. Geely, who also owns Volvo and recently Lotus had then announced that Lync&Cowould be making a new compact SUV that would cater to an ever growing Chinese auto sector and also exported to Europe and other parts of the world. This SUV was the '01' which was showcased earlier this year and launched just a few days ago. Prices of the car were announced and pre-orders for the SUV were opened for 6000 cars on November 17. And all the 6000 units were sold out in a staggering 137 seconds through bookings online and though 150 dedicated stores across China. This makes it the quickest selling car in automotive history!
Jeep has confirmed that it will launch a Wrangler-based Pickup in 2019 and also offer a plug-in hybrid engine option on the new-gen Wrangler by 2019. With the pickup and the hybrid engine option, the Wrangler will be having an expansive line-up.
The new 2017 Volvo XC60 is all set to go on sale in India on December 12 and the it will be the second SUV from the carmaker to be built on the Scalable Product Architecture, after the XC90.
A near-production test mule of the upcoming Rolls-Royce Cullinan was spotted testing and this time the SUV looses a bit camouflage revealing some of its production parts. Rolls-Royce will officially unveil the production version of the Cullinan sometime next year, possibly in the second half of 2018.
The 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show has a host of new launches to watch out for and catching our attention is the latest offering from Land Rover. The British car maker has pulled the wraps off the new Range Rover SVAutobiography at the LA Auto Show, which is the newest and most luxurious SUV to come from the company.
Land Rover seems to has started working on the next-gen Discovery Sport, and one of early prototypes of the SUV has been recently spotted testing for the first time. The SUV will make it's appearance only towards the end of the decade so expect it to be unveiled by 2019-end of early 2020.
Mahindra's upcoming MPV, codenamed U321, was recently spotted testing in India again. The MPV was seen with a few production ready parts, like LED daytime running lights, bumper, headlamps and more.
