The Renault-Nissan Alliance has emerged as the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world, for the first six months of 2017. The Volkswagen Group and Toyota occupy the second and the third place respectively.
Hero MotoCorp has recorded the highest ever sales for a single quarter during the first quarter of the current financial year between April and June 2017. In all, Hero MotoCorp sold 18,53,647 two-wheelers in the period, posting a growth of 6.2 per cent over the same period a year ago, when the company had sold 17,45,389 two-wheelers.
Bajaj Auto announced its results for the first quarter of the 2017-18 financial year, revealing that KTM India sold 2300 units of the 250 Duke in the domestic market. The Austrian bike maker's all-new offering was launched in India in February this year, bridging the gap between the now entry-level 200 Duke and the flagship 2017 KTM 390 Duke. KTM India's cumulative sales stood at 8484 units in the first quarter of FY2018.
