Yamaha has been absent from the commuter segment for quite some time now with the YBR and Crux motorcycles discontinued. The Saluto is currently the Japanese manufacturer's most affordable offering in the 125cc segment. But to truly make a mark in the Indian motorcycle segment, a mass market offering is a must and that is exactly what Yamaha plans to offer today. This mystery commuter motorcycle is expected to be joined by the launch of Yamaha Ray-ZR, which was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo.
While little is known about what the new Yamaha motorcycle will be, the invite to the launch event indicates that the Japanese motorcycle giant will be unveiling a new chapter. More details will only be available tomorrow, but chances are that the product may be a commuter offering - possibly a 100-110cc motorcycle.
