The Harley-Davidson XG750R's exhaust looks menacing
The XG750R Flat Tracker is the creation of Vance & Hines, who have put the bike together and have also helped build the racing frame. On looks alone, the XG750R grabs the pole position for us and gives you some serious modification goals to look forward to on your respective Harleys. The bike is complimented with minimal bodywork, a slender fuel tank and a sharp single seat. The high mounted twin exhaust is particularly menacing.
The XG750R scores well with respect to its design
In terms of power, the Harley-Davidson XG750R uses a Vance & Hines tuned version of the 749cc liquid-cooled V-Twin Revolution X engine that powers the Street 750. While power output figures haven't been disclosed, the light weight of the flat tracker coupled with the well tuned engine will surely making it easier for the rider to kick the dirt.
Harley won't produce a street legal version of the XG750R anytime soon
Speaking of which, the Harley XG750R will be raced by rider Davis Fisher on the AMA Pro series. The bike maker also clarified that the flat tracker is strictly built for race competition and will not be put on sale at this time. That said, Harley-Davidson should consider bringing the XG750R to the showrooms complete with the road going bits like lights, indicators, instrument cluster and a front brake.
