Elon Musk is increasing the heat on the Hummer EV which will be one of the first EVs by GM using its Ultium battery tech. He has said that the incoming CyberTruck will have 4-wheel steering which will enable "crab" mode like on the Hummer EV.
The Tesla CEO and co-founder has been talking up the CyberTruck now for more than a year. He has spoken about its air suspension and also considered making it smaller. In his latest update on Twitter, he revealed that futuristic cyber punk-inspired vehicle will look almost identical to what was shown off originally in 2019.

"Friday afternoons are usually Tesla design studio time. Cybertruck will be almost exactly what was shown," he revealed. He also added a bit more information which could put some pressure on Hummer which is set to make a comeback as a brand in an EV form.
"We're adding rear wheel steering, so it can do tight turns and maneuver with high agility," said the world's second-richest man.
Already the Cybertruck is expected to be power-packed with performance, specs and greater range than any other electric pickup truck.
This new feature does remind one of the "crab" mode that GMC described. " The super trucks industry-leading Crab Mode1 feature is enabled by the GMC HUMMER EV's four-wheel steering capability, allowing it to move in a diagonal direction - functionality that is tailor-made for off-roading customers," it said officially.
The Cybertruck is expected to go on sale in late 2021, though the Hummer EV pickup will likely only manage 2022.
