Elon Musk often rambles about what Tesla is up to on Twitter and this time around he's back sharing some important detail about the CyberTruck which doesn't have any door handles. One of the changes that Elon announced months ago was that the Cybertruck will ship without door handles. He's revealed on Twitter that the car will automatically detect your presence and open the doors.
"In end, we kept production design almost exactly same as show car. Just some small tweaks here & there to make it slightly better. No door handles. Car recognizes you & opens door. Having all four wheels steer is amazing for nimble handling & tight turns!," he tweeted in response to his tweets.

Other trucks look like copies of the same thing, but Cybertruck looks like it was made by aliens from the future.

This system is not too dissimilar from a system Tesla had introduced on the Model X a couple of years ago. There is no rocket science to this system as it simply detects the key fob and opens the door when it is in range. The car will also feature a retractable solar bed cover.
Musk also recently revealed that it will have independent steering of the rear wheels, Hummer EV style "crab mode". Tesla is rushing for the production of the Cybertruck considering its main rival the Ford F-150 Lightning is going to be out soon. But Musk says likely mass deliveries will only start next year considering the global semiconductor shortage and the pandemic still being active.

It has two variants: one has 483 kilometres of range while the other has a whopping 805 kilometres of range. Production and deliveries of the Cybertruck will be dependent on the construction of the second US gigafactory that's being built in Texas. Tesla is a race to beat Ford to the punch because the F-150 Lightning is highly impressive and well, it is basically the electric avatar of the best selling pick-up truck.
