Bajaj Auto is reportedly working on the next generation of the flagship Pulsar which will be a 250 cc offering, and test mules have shown us that there's a naked and half-faired version in the pipeline. While we've seen several camouflaged versions of the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250F and the NS250, a new video has now surfaced online that gives a clear view of the motorcycles. Speculations suggest that the new Pulsar 250 range could arrive as early as this festive season, further increasing our anticipation for the models.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS250 is expected to get the 249 cc DTS-i mill that will pack around 25 bhp and 24 Nm of peak torque
The video shows the camouflaged versions being ridden on the highway. The Bajaj Pulsar 250 naked and faired can be seen doing high speeds in excess of 100 kmph and the bike seems to have no trouble keeping up. The video also shows the bikes speeding up over the car. While there are no details available on the specifications of the engine, the unit is likely to be derived from the KTM 250 Duke, albeit reworked by Bajaj to accommodate its DTS-i technology. Power figures are likely to be in the vicinity of 25 bhp and 20 Nm of peak torque, in line with what the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the Yamaha FZ25 have to offer. However, we can only gauge the actual performance once we ride the motorcycles.

The test mule also reveals a wider headlamp with a projector lens on the Bajaj Pulsar 250F, which is likely to get full-LED lights. The model will also get a semi-digital instrument console, disc brakes at either end with single-channel ABS, telescopic forks upfront and a Nitrox-charged monoshock at the rear.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 250F could also replace the 220F in the brand's line-up. While the latter is a brisk seller, it has aged especially when you consider its current Rs. 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) price tag. The upcoming Pulsar 250F could be pitched to the masses as a worthy replacement at a marginal premium. We expect Bajaj to reveal more details as we get closer to the launch, so make sure to keep watching this space.
