The 2017 Ford EcoSport is finally set to makes it's India debut for the media this month, on October 29. Ford has made some comprehensive updates to the new EcoSport in terms of design, styling and features as well. The updated Ford EcoSport was first revealed at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show and the upcoming India-spec model is largely identical to the one showcased in LA. This could be mainly because the US-spec version will also be manufactured in India and thus there are several similarities in terms of styling. The 2017 Ford EcoSport is better-looking and more equipped now

Based on the several spy shots we have seen so far, the 2017 Ford EcoSport facelift will be largely similar to the model that was showcased at the LA Auto Show. This means the SUV will get a revised front grille, a redesigned set of headlamps with projector lights and new LED daytime running lamps. The new EcoSport also comes with a new front bumper, which looks a lot more muscular and also houses the new larger angular foglamps, and a wide central airdam. The 2017 Ford EcoSport also gets underbody plastic cladding to go with its SUV nature. The rear also comes with a fresher appearance thanks to the new beefy cover for the tailgate-mounted spare wheel, revised taillamps, new plastic cladded bumper and a roof-mounted spoiler.

Ford EcoSport Titanium S variant comes larger wheels and black treatment
The new 2017 Ford EcoSport will also get a new Titanium S variant, which was spotted in India a few weeks back. The 'S' suffix, as you might have guessed, stands for 'Sports' and along with sporty styling cues the Titanium S variant will also come with a stylish set of 17-inch alloy wheels, in addition to the existing 15-inch steel wheels and the new 16-inch alloy wheels. The new Titanium S trim also gets darker grille, smoked projector headlamps, black cladding surrounds for the foglamps and black roof rails. The most prominent change, however, is the sporty set of alloy wheels along with the black roof and black spoiler. Rest of the styling and features will be similar to the standard model.
2017 Ford EcoSport will come with new well-equipped interior
The updated Ford EcoSport will come with a revised cabin with new interior and also a redesigned dashboard. The biggest addition though is expected to be the new 8-inch colour LCD touchscreen infotainment system we have seen in one of the earlier spy shot. It's the same unit that is offered in the US-spec EcoSport, which is also made in India right now. The system comes with swipe and pinch-to-zoom navigation capability and is SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. The car will also get a new centre console with more contemporary design. Other features will include automatic climate control, Keyless entry, stop-start button, USB and power socket among others.
Ford 1.5-litre Petrol Engine is all-new and makes 120 bhp
Along with the existing 99 bhp 1.5-litre diesel motor, the 2017 EcoSport will also come with an all-new 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine from the company's new line-up. Unofficially known as the Dragon engine, the new three-cylinder motor makes about 120 bhp and develops a peak torque of 150 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with a 6-speed automatic dual clutch transmission (DCT) for the new petrol engine.
